Your personal data
We process your personal data in accordance with Malagasy Law No. 2014-038 on the protection of personal data.
The data controller is the site publisher, [to be completed: company name], who can be reached using the details above.
Processing is based on the consent you give when booking, and on the need to manage your stay.
Data we collect
When you book, we collect:
- your first name, last name and phone number, and your email address if you provide it;
- your nationality, country of residence and preferred language;
- the type and number of your identity document, and its issuing country if you provide it;
- a photo of your identity document, only if you choose to send one;
- your stay dates, number of guests, expected arrival time and any special request;
- payment tracking details: chosen method, amounts and transaction reference.
We never receive your mobile money PIN.
To protect the form, your IP address is passed to the anti-bot service; we only keep a hashed, non-reversible version of it, to limit abuse.
Why we use them
We use your data only to:
- record your booking, confirm it and track its payment;
- contact you about your stay;
- prepare your arrival and fill in your guest registration form;
- protect the form against bots and abuse.
Your data is never sold or used for advertising.
How long we keep them
Identity data (document type and number, photo) is deleted 12 months after your departure date, and no later than 30 days after a booking is cancelled or declined.
Other booking data is kept as long as needed to run the business and meet its accounting obligations: [to be completed: duration].
Who can access them
Only the La Pajod team members in charge of bookings can access it, through password-protected accounts. Your data may be disclosed to the authorities where the law requires it.
Our technical subcontractors:
- Cloudflare, Inc.: hosting of the site’s pages and the Turnstile anti-bot service;
- [to be completed: server host]: storage of bookings and site content.
When you pay with MVola, the operator processes the transaction under its own terms.
Security
Exchanges with the site are encrypted (HTTPS). Booking data can only be accessed with an authorised account, and identity document photos are never public.
A mobile money payment is always confirmed on your phone, with your operator: we never see your PIN.
Your rights
You can ask at any time to access, correct or delete your data, and object to its processing on legitimate grounds. Write to us at [to be completed: email or postal address], giving your booking reference if you have one.
If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can contact the supervisory authority established by Law No. 2014-038.
Cookies and local storage
This site uses no advertising cookies and no audience measurement tools.
While you book, a draft of what you have entered is kept in your browser’s local storage, so you don’t lose it if your connection drops. It stays on your device, never includes your ID number or photo, and is cleared once your booking is sent, after 7 days at most, or when you clear the site’s data.
The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, an anti-bot service that may read or store the technical information it needs to work, with no advertising purpose.
The interactive map loads only if you click “Show the interactive map”: your browser then contacts jsDelivr (MapLibre library) and OpenFreeMap (map tiles), which receive your IP address as with any web page.
